Cool New LED Light

image

Mogul based metal halide LED replacement lamp installs in any fixture, canopy or retro fit. No ballast needed. It runs off of a standard household wall plug 120 VAC.
Amazing output, no heat transfer to the tank, instant on, bulb can be rotated to direct light output where ever you need it.
As with Metal Halide bulbs, you will need one bulb / 2ft of tank length to get proper coverage. For example: 4 ft tanks need 2 bulbs, 6 ft tanks need 3 bulbs.

Pure snake oil. LEDs would have be be about 4x as efficient as the current generation is. It is physically impossible for current-generation LEDs to put out the same amount of light as a 175W MH bulb while only consuming 42W.

Are your blog postings paid advertisements for the products you "discuss"? All you seem to be doing is cut/pasting the ad copy. No commentary or discussion, just pure product advertising.

By posting a product to your blog without commentary, you are implicitly endorsing the product. You need to be more discerning, regurgitating crap like this LED light shoots cavern-sized holes in your credibility.

Actually I saw this light at MACNA XX in Atlanta over the past weekend and the PAR readings were very respectable and really quite suprising. The guy put the meter under water and I think it was somewhere in the 215 to 225 range at the bottom of the tank.

I didnt see a Kill-o-watt meter but I think the above poster might want to do some more research.
